Froststar awoke in her den early one morning. She had been having odd dreams lately, ones that made little sense or was completely irrelevant. Yawning, she rose to her paws and exited her den. The sun hadn't crept past the distant hills yet, which meant that dawn patrol hadn't even left yet. Looking at the fresh-kill pile, Froststar noticed it was rather low so she decided to make a swift hunting trip. She left camp, and she saw one of her warriors on look out duty, and nodded briefly. Turning her attention back to hunting, she trotted on.
As she entered the openness of the moor, harsh wind blew making Froststar lose her breath once or twice. Glancing around, no movement was detected and the wind was blowing in all directions, making it difficult to scent prey. After ten minutes or so, she gave up as the rabbits were smart enough to stay in their dens this harsh morning. The sun was was just coming over and the warmth from the sun made Froststar stifle a purr. As she sat on the moorland, a flicker of movement caught her eye. Curious, the pretty grey tabby trotted over, fighting the wind that blew hard against her.
