The leader's den is located beneath the roots of a great oak tree that sits at the very edge of the camp, near the bramble barrier and the boulder where meetings are held.

Warriors of ShadowClan sleep under a large bramble bush. The thick bush protects the ground from becoming wet and muddy like the rest of the territory, making it a favorable sleeping place.

The apprentices don't get such a fancy den. They sleep in a clump of ferns near the warrior's den. The ferns are nearly always damp, but the apprentices sleep on thick beds of moss to keep from getting too muddy.

ShadowClan elders live in a small hollow at the back of the camp, opposite the thorn tunnel entrance. The hollow is protected by thick brambles, which keeps out most precipitation.

Much like the elders' den, the ShadowClan nursery is in a hollow shielded by thorn bushes. This hollow is deeper than the elder's den, though, so that young kits won't be able to reach the thorns without exiting the den.
