AMBEREYE!
I WON'T JUSTIFY, THE WAY I LIVE MY LIFE CAUSE
I'M THE ONE LIVING IT FEELING IT TASTING IT

Deception, disgrace, evil as plain as the scar on her face
Deception, an outrage, disgrace, for shame
She asked for trouble the moment she came
A black she-cat slunk through the shadows with ease. Her fur was ragged from moons without being properly washed, and her ribs were easily visible. It was greenleaf now, but she had been a rogue for the better part of a few seasons, and had barely survived the harsh leafbare. Her black pelt was lackluster, and there was a dull lifelessness to her. Her mottled amber eyes flicked upward to the moon above her head. It was waning, she had learned over the past few days. A Gathering had probably occurred just a few days before. It was rare for a rogue to know about such events of a Clan cats' life, but the skinny, ragged black she-cat was no normal rogue.
Her name was Ambereye, and her brother was the king of these lands, so to speak- though she wasn't aware of that yet. Her unkempt coat summed up the past few years of her life rather well- she had spent it as a rogue, living on her own, avoiding any signs of life besides the occasional prey animal that she managed to catch. Sure, she had been a warrior at one point, but she had never had to live for herself before. She had a whole Clan at her back those days... now, it was just her.
Her thoughts wandered back to Hunter. She wished he was here. She remembered the warm nights they had spent together, despite her having to wake up early to go back to her Clan. She had curled up against him, their tails entwined romantically... but all that had come to an end. She had given birth to his kits, and they had all died, presumably during the fight with her brother. They were all stillborn, and it was Wildfur's fault. She wouldn't be surprised if he had led the patrol that killed her mate, too.
She realized that she had arrived at the burnt sycamore, and swore mentally. This was ShadowClan territory. She had been careful to avoid her former Clan, for fear of being recognized. But she had come back here when she was desperate for food- the Carrionplace was a good place to find a meal, no matter how infected and rotten the prey there was. It was still food, and with her malnutrition, even crowfood was appetizing. Suddenly, Ambereye grew curious. She remembered from her years as an apprentice that the sycamore was not strong enough to hold the weight of a cat bigger than an apprentice. But she was hardly larger than an apprentice now, was she, what with her sudden skinniness?
Her eyes glittering with mischief, she leaped at the dead tree, digging her claws into it. Who knows? Maybe a crow had nested somewhere in the branches and had laid a few eggs. It was around that time of year, too. She might just find her next meal. Despite her unhealthiness, Ambereye was able to dash to the first lowest branch as lightly as a squirrel, though the tree creaked dangerously under her weight. But she wasn't one to half second thoughts, and Ambereye was soon at the next branch, her mouth watering for the potential prey.
